Return to Stillness: A Yoga Nidra Retreat
With Ally Boothroyd and Kristyn Rose Foster
October 2 - 7, 2026
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the quiet rhythm of island life as you journey into deep rest and inner awakening during this nourishing Yoga Nidra retreat. This deeply nourishing experience welcomes all, from sincere beginners and curious seekers to seasoned teachers, into an environment of stillness, learning, and renewal. Guided by experienced educators Kristyn Rose and Ally Boothroyd, the retreat invites you to slow down, soften inward, and rediscover the restorative power of rest as your natural state of being.
Yoga Nidra, often described as the art of conscious rest, is an ancient meditative practice that invites the body into profound relaxation while the mind remains awake and aware. In this threshold state between waking and sleep, the nervous system downshifts from stress response to deep restoration, brainwave patterns slow, and the body’s innate capacity for healing is activated. Simultaneously, as awareness expands, practitioners can witness thoughts and emotions with clarity and compassion. This inward journey through the layers of being helps cultivate resilience, emotional balance, and access to the quiet sanctuary of peace that resides within us all.
Each day follows a mindful rhythm of practice and reflection, blending morning yoga sadhana and Yoga Nidra with afternoon workshops and restorative evening sessions for deep rest and integration. Afternoon workshops provide space to explore key tools and techniques of Yoga Nidra, deepening personal practice through experiential learning, discussion, and guidance. Throughout the retreat, participants are supported in self-inquiry and conscious living, looking closely at patterns that shape their lives and cultivating alignment with safety, love, and wholeness.
Supported by Ayurvedic rituals, the beauty of nature, and the warmth of community, this immersive experience offers space to restore balance, awaken clarity, and experience Yoga Nidra as both a path of healing and a gateway to awakening.
Come rest deeply, learn meaningfully, and return home renewed in body, mind, and spirit.

Testimonials
- “This was my first retreat experience and I didn’t really know exactly what to expect beyond more Yoga Nidra practices. The entire retreat was an eye-opener! I don’t remember eating so well or feeling so relaxed and rested. The schedule was perfect, with a lot of time for reflection, reading, walking or whatever came to mind in between practices and workshops. There was no pressure to do anything I didn’t want to do. I came away with a better sense of how to incorporate self-care into my daily routine. At the same time, I don’t feel I need to change everything I do. I will definitely do this again!” – Melanie Mahan
- “After my experience I feel grateful, loved, and I trust in humanity’s kindness and compassion. I am so happy and relaxed and I have no other words! Thank you Ally and the Team at Living Yoga Retreats.” – Juliana French
- “I have struggled with insomnia for over a decade, but have experienced deep relaxation and rest through Kristyn’s retreats and Yoga Nidra practices that I was not expecting and am so thankful to have access to. Kristyn creates an environment where I feel safe to try new things, freely release tears when they need to be let out, and laugh with full abandon!! As part of this community, I feel more alive and closer to who I truly am deep inside than I have in nearly a decade. Kristyn, thank you for your friendship and for sharing your gifts and heart with us all.” – Melissa Lee
