As the present meets the past, there is a collective wound of the feminine that we experience personally, ancestrally, and relationally. Yet, if we go back far enough, we also inherit lineages of wise women healers, known and unknown. These ways are in our bodies, as old as time, deeply of the earth, the hearth, & the wilds. These ways are folk magic born out of a sacred relationship with life.
This is a space to reclaim crucial sources of feminine power and more fully embody our instinctual wildness. We remember better together, our dreams magnetize together, our powers catalyze together. Woven with the summertime land, sea, flowers, fruits, forests, and spirits of Hollyhock, we will explore a variety of folk practices – including ritual, circling, herbcraft, singing & vocalization, dance & liberatory movement – with spaciousness to rest & enter dreamtime. We will explore our eros as primal life force, agape, sensuousness, pleasure, as well as grief and rage, honouring our holy bodies as part of the living earth body. Heather’s facilitation weaves the wisdom of the whole, the multiplicity of identities, stories, and gifts- including voices of place, forces of life, seen & unseen. May we mend the threads of our ancestral wisdom that patriarchy has tried to sever.

Heather’s deep holding and compassion for me to embody the truest expression of myself, that deep permission she offers is seeping into all aspects of my life. Our time together is shaping who I am becoming not just in the aspect of singing but in the aspect of my wholeness as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.
