Learn how to provide companionship, comfort, and guidance to those facing a terminal illness or death.

As part of this training, learners receive self-paced video exercises as pre-work, an end-of-life doula guide and training workbook, live lectures and presentations from INELDA educators, small group and paired exercises, and self-paced exercises you can use to prepare you for your role as a doula.

  • Prepare the learner in the role of an end-of-life doula
  • Honor the humanity of the dying person
  • Teach the elements of the dying process
  • Prepare the learner through self awareness to do this work
  • Familiarize the natural event of dying

Nicole Heidbreder

Nicole Heidbreder became an INELDA trainer in 2017. She brings extensive experience as a hospice and labor and delivery nurse to her teaching.
