
Zoe Todd
Dr. Zoe Todd (she/they) is an Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies and Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Indigenous Governance and Freshwater Fish Futures at Simon Fraser University. They are Red River Métis and a practice-led artist-researcher from Alberta (with family connections to the historic St Paul des Métis Settlement) who studies the relationships between Indigenous sovereignty and freshwater fish futures in Canada. They are a co-founder of the Institute for Freshwater Fish Futures, which is a collaborative Indigenous-led initiative that is ‘restor(y)ing fish futures, together’ across plural watersheds. They are a member of the class of 2020 of the College of New Scholars of the Royal Society of Canada.
