Dan Hines

Dan Hines (he/him) finds himself at a crossroads: between activism and soul.

His calling is to invite and help guide leaders to live a more undivided life.

He is grateful for those who nurture their personal and professional integrity and find the courage to act. There is a way of being together that has the power to transform individuals, families, workplaces and communities.

Guiding retreats and workshops have taken him around the world: recently it’s been China, Central America, the Caribbean, throughout Canada and the U.S: at many holistic centers and on sailboats, surf waves, and hiking trails.

Dan was mentored by the activist and social thinker Parker J. Palmer in the Circles of Trust lineage. He is active in the collaboration: The Center for Courage & Renewal. As co-founder of the intentional community, RareBirds Housing Co-operative, he has a passion for environmental justice, exploring alternative living and a sustainable relationship to the land. He provides leadership during the summer months on Okanagan Lake on our sailboat Anam Cara and at Naramata Centre. He serves as an Ambassador for the Global Ecovillage Network and has run for political office.

Dan is an Anglican priest, a passionate activist, poet, and for a decade, he managed a zoo. He lives on the traditional and unceded territory of Secwepemcúĺecw (Kamloops, BC).
