
Aslam Bulbulia
Aslam Bulbulia is from South Africa with Indian heritage, now living on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ / sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) land. With a background in Political Science and Philosophy, Aslam has explored diverse fields during his postgraduate studies, from city-planning and Islamic law to user-centered design and decoloniality. Aslam holds Certificates in Dialogue and Civic Engagement, and restorative Justice from SFU and is a certified Deep Democracy instructor. Recently, his focus has been on fostering dialogue and engagement in Vancouver’s diverse landscape. Aslam has been involved in shaping inclusive learning environments and shifting organizational cultures. His work at Vancouver Coastal Health and now at the City of Vancouver is about bringing restorative practices into workplace conflicts for personal and systemic transformation to occur.
